I've been a Bruins fan as long as I can remember.

I own two Bruins jerseys, one is a personalized custom jersey and the other is a 1972 Phil Esposito jersey.

Enjoy my blog.

The Bruins will look to extend their winning streak to 3 games

The Boston Bruins (8-7-2) will take on the Florida Panthers at the TD Garden tonight with thoughts of extending their winning streak to 3 games. On Tuesday, ther Bruins shutout the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-0 and on Saturday wiped the ice with Buffalo, 3-2.

The Florida Panthers (5-9-1), however, haven't had the luxury of winning streaks and continue their absymal season tonight. The Panthers are coming off two straight losses and will look to right the ship tonight.

Bruins Keys To Winning

1. No Mistakes.
Florida is not a good hockey team, plain and simple. If the Bruins play mistake-free hockey (see: no turnovers in their defensive zone; also see: Dennis Wideman learning to skate backwards) then they will easily trump one of the worst teams in the league.

2. Pepper the Net.
Both Scott Clemmensen and Tomas Vokoun have played poorly for the Panthers. Vokoun is 3-8-1 on the season with a GAA of 2.99 and a S% of .916. Clemmensen has been even worse with a record of 2-1, a GAA of 5.13 and a S% of .893. All the Bruins need to do is pepper either goalie is a healthy amount of shots and they'll be fine. This won't be a "43 shots on Carey Price and lose" night, neither of these guys are great between the pipes.

3. Bring the Energy Early.
Florida isn't a good hockey team, which means this game could be a yawner. My feeling is that Boston will need to bring some energy early on to get this game underway. A guy like Shawn Thornton or Steve Begin may have to drop the gloves if the Bruins are sluggish and in need some a jolt.

Clemmensen is actually 2-1 on the season... hard to believe given his atrocious numbers. Just goes as further proof of how truly useless a goalies record is in determining his abilities.

Shit, I read that wrong. Anyways, win/loss record for a goalie is about as useful as win/loss record for a pitcher in baseball.
